Gentile or Hanifan refers to someone from the Genti (people of the Genii).

He who became Abraham was a Gentile so there is nothing wrong with being a Gentile. Your family history is not important. What matters is what you do with your future.

The term Hanifa is a semitic nickname for a Gentile. It can also be a Messianic Sadducee name for Abraham.
